ZipSit is looking for a Vice President of Engineering to fill a special role: building, accelerating, and managing positive change as we scale, grow, and improve our popular and successful sitting app. This is an incredible opportunity to come in at the early stages of something big, help grow and shape a technology team, and build something that can make a real difference. Some of your initial tasks will include architecture overview, feature enhancements, building a technical team, engineering productivity improvements, and process maturation. You’ll be responsible for consistently delivering meaningful features, applications and technology solutions that solve everyday problems. You’ll consistently communicate and deliver to commitments and increase the velocity of our teams by removing roadblocks. You’ll be responsible for driving new business and growth through engineering solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product / technology’s overall advances to accommodate future features and capabilities while maintaining architectural integrity and adaptability
  • Collaborate with Product Management, and Business on future product enhancements and their placement to support product vision and strategy
  • Support the Marketing team to properly craft messaging that articulates the technology, and the unique value proposition (UVP) of our product and solutions
  • Scale and build out an impressive engineering team, one that is excited about their mission and passionate about tackling the problems in the health and wellness market
  • Inspire and lead engineering team. Recognize and celebrate achievements. Identify and correct process and personnel issues. Motivate and drive results.
  • Embrace, grow and promote the Engineering team’s diversity of skills
  • Lead by example to maintain a healthy and positive company culture

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in mobile development (iOS and Android)
  • Backend server-side experience (ideally NodeJS with Google Cloud Services Functions or Parse experience)
  • Experience with building consumer-based end-user UX
  • You’ve worked in the consumer or e-commerce space and understand building applications and technology that delight and engage consumers and foster growth
  • You have experience working in smaller, fast-paced environments
  • You have proven experience building, growing, retaining and inspiring a world-class team of client-focused technologists.
  • You have extensive experience building large-scale technology and applications that are reliable, scalable, secure, and highly performant using industry best practices
  • You have a track record for delivery in high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • You champion and drive a culture of continuous learning to improve execution and remove roadblocks that are holding the team back.
  • You are a strategic partner who can translate business problems to technology solutions.
  • You work effectively across the business to influence and create client value.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic self-starter to join our rapidly growing marketing team. The Phoenix Community Manager will be responsible for development and growth of our first market. We need someone who is organized, decisive, and has the entrepreneurial drive to craft and execute a strategic plan for our regional market. On top of that, we need someone with true passion for what we are doing: Pioneering the sharing economy and helping our sitters be micro-entrepreneurs.

In this role you will be a strategist, an executor, a marketing wiz, and a cross-functional leader. The work is hard, the team is brilliant, the mission is big. If that all sounds like fun to you, you may be the right person for the role.

You will be splitting your time between our headquarters in Scottsdale and being on the ground in the Phoenix area, representing ZipSit in the local market by building relationships with key stakeholders and influencers in the city.

Preferred candidates have experience in marketing, operations, and support.

The objectives of the Community Manager: Acquiring and supporting users for the ZipSit app.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement user acquisition strategy for Phoenix market.
  • Accountability for the markets health and growth.
  • Active recruitment of users.
  • Pilot new actions in the market and evaluate their effect on business targets.
  • Organize events to attract new sitters and parents.
  • Supporting existing sitters and parents.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership through robust execution of projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Positive attitude, professional appearance and ability to work as a team member, communicate with others and share responsibility to work towards common goal.
  • Experience with childcare.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including public speaking.
  • Exceeds at building and maintaining relationships, online and off.
  • Must be self-starter and a creative problem solver.
  • Highly organized.
  • Ideal candidate has experience and connections to the Greek system in universities.
  • Bonus if candidate has management experience.
